
Puerta del Sol (literally "Gate of the Sun") is one of Madrid's oldest regions with a rich history, including being the site of many Spanish protests. Today, many tourists stay in the area due to the large number of shops and hotels.

There were many colored flags flying overhead in Puerta del Sol. I'm not entirely certain if they had any significance.
