Museum Island (or Museumsinsel) is aptly named, as it's home to 5 major museums, as well as some smaller ones. The two that we visited were the Neues Museum and the DDR Museum. The Neues Museum had a ton of Egyptian artifacts. And the DDR Museum was a fun, interactive museum about life in East Germany, which was influenced by Soviet communism. We also did a boat tour up and down the River Spree.
